International Business Management students experience challenge-based learning with company representatives

On November 10th, 2017, the first semester International Business Management master´s students experienced an interactive case study with five representatives of Coca Cola HBC Austria (Natalie Pühringer and Verena König from the HR department and Julia Wernle, Oliver Vrana and Andreas Steinwidder from the Marketing & Sales management team) as part of their “Management & Leadership” course.

CUAS alumna Julia Wernle and Regional Sales Manager Oliver Vrana first presented the company, its product portfolio, marketing and sales strategy, and current strategic challenges. Students then got the task to explore and present possible strategies to tackle these challenges. The different approaches were then discussed in more detail with the company representatives. In the second part of the interactive case study, students worked on an human resource-related challenge and were introduced to the range of different talent management activities of Coca Cola HBC Austria.

The presentations and lively discussions were very positively received by both sides, the guest speakers from Coca Cola HBC Austria and the International Business Management students, and the innovative interactive case study format was seen as a very positive joint learning experience.
