Before I came to Villach, I studied the bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University College of Northern Denmark, Aalborg. During my studies, I learnt a lot about Leadership, Management, Business strategy, Business Economics, and many other interesting topics within the Tourism industry. However, the tourism industry became very risky industry in these days, and this has become one of the main reasons why I decided to apply for the master’s degree in International Business Management.

So far, this well-organised program met my expectations. It is very practical oriented study programme which allows us to discuss everything in the classes, we are going through many practical business cases, and many excursions with the real CEOs and leaders are organized. I also can improve my intercultural communication skills and knowledge due to being the student in the class with 17 nationalities. It is a great preparation for my future international business environment. In terms to the environment, this university creates a great study environment with amazing and qualified professors who have a passion for teaching and sharing their own business practical / theoretical knowledge and skills.

The Covid-19 virus situation does not make it easier for anyone around the world, however, the Carinthia university has adjusted the studies to this situation and is perfectly prepared for the Hybrid and Online classes during which all students can study their programs at the same level as being personally in a class. I honestly really miss personal classes, but we all need to stay healthy and respect the government regulations. I really cannot wait to be back personally at the university soon.

These all opportunities, activities and the current situation can really help me to become a good business leader/manager, and to teach me how to adapt to a new environment as this business industry always requires.
