Das Projekt "Die Zukunft der Bildungs- und Betreuungsinfrastruktur in Villach" ist eine Kooperation zwischen der Fachhochschule Kärnten und der Stadt Villach. Ziel ist es, eine umfassende Analyse und Prognose der zukünftigen Anforderungen an die schulische und außerschulische Nachmittagsbetreuung in Villach zu erstellen. Diese Zusammenarbeit umfasst die Aktualisierung und Integration vorhandener Daten, die Vorhersage des zukünftigen Betreuungsbedarfs, eine exemplarische Kostenstrukturanalyse sowie die Baubedarfsprognose. Dieses Projekt fördert präzise Daten und Prognosen zur Unterstützung zukünftiger Entscheidungen in der Stadtplanung und Bildungsinfrastruktur.

Im Rahmen der fachhochschulinternen Ausschreibung für ein Forschungszentrum zum Thema „Applied Health and Active‐Aging Sciences und Alter/Altern“ wird im Folgenden die generelle inhaltliche Ausrichtung und geplante Struktur eines auf die angewandte Forschung spezialisierten Kompetenzzentrums („Institute for Applied Research on Ageing – IARA“) erläutert. Der Fokus richtet sich auf Forschungs‐ und Lösungsansätze, die die Herausforderungen und Potentiale einer sich verändernden und älterwerdenden Gesellschaft behandeln. In diesem Zusammenhang ist als Hintergrund die demographische Entwicklung zu sehen, welche wesentliche Auswirkungen auf beinahe alle Bereiche der Gesellschaft hat. MATILDE aimed to shed light on the social and economic impacts of migration processes directed towards European rural and mountain areas stemming from the arrival and settling in of Third Country Nationals (TCNs), their upward trend, transformative and redistributive effects. Through local level fieldwork conducted with action-research methods, it aimed to stimulate the engagement of local stakeholders (e.g. migrants, policymakers, civil society, transnational networks) to produce new knowledge about the processes and strategies triggered by migration at the local level.

The project adopted a place-based approach and a mixed methodology and has:

• developed and tested an innovative toolbox for multi-dimensional and multi-scale assessment of the impacts of migration on the social, economic, and spatial dimensions in rural and mountain areas;
• shed light on the nexus between migration and local development and on the impacts of migration on territorial inequalities and regional disparities by assessing the impact of migration on the social and economic dimensions at different territorial scales;
• co-constructed a participatory assessment of the impacts of migration in rural and mountain areas through 13 local case studies in ten countries;

In der CLLD-Region „HEurOpen“ wurde der Sport-Trailrun gefördert, sodass Jung und Alt, Profisportler*innen und Einsteiger*innen sich für diesen Sport begeistern konnten und leicht herausfinden konnten, welche Strecken für sie dafür geeignet sind, um die Region auf diese Weise zu erkunden. Hierzu wurden die Sportler*innen mittels einer digitalen Informationsplattform und eines gedruckten Trail-Guides mit allen Informationen zu den Strecken versorgt. Zusätzlich wurden in diesem kooperativen Projekt der Medizinuniversität Udine und der Fachhochschule Kärnten die Themen Gesundheit/Technik und Prävention behandelt.

In the CLLD region `HEurOpen´, the sport trail running was promoted so that young and old, professional athletes and beginners could get enthusiastic about this sport and easily find out which routes are suitable for them to explo[1]re the region in this way. To this end, the trailrunners were provided with all the information about the routes via a di[1]gital information platform and a printed trail guide. This cooperative project between the University of Medicine Udi[1]ne and the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences also addressed the topics of health/technology and prevention. iara.ac.at/crosstrail

In diesem kooperativen Projekt, das in der CLLD-Region „HEurOpen" angesiedelt war, ging es darum, die Mobilität von älteren Personen zu fördern. Mittels Vor-Ort-Trainings (2 Testgruppen) und heimbasierten Trainings (2 Testgruppen) wurden innerhalb der 9 Monate Testphase wöchentlich Übungen an die Teilnehmer*innen ausgegeben, die diese durchzuführen hatten. Zusätzlich erhielten die Teilnehmer*innen einen Zugang zu einer an der FH Kärnten entwickelten App, die es ermöglichte, mit den anderen Teilnehmer*innen grenz- und sprachübergreifend in Kontakt zu treten (automatisierte Übersetzung von Chatnachrichten). Außerdem bekamen die Teilnehmer*innen die Möglichkeit, sich via Movinsi-App über Gesundheitsthemen zu informieren. Begleitet wurde das Anwendungsprojekt von Evaluierungen, bezogen auf Technik, und einer regionalen Benchmarkinganalyse.

The H2GreenTECH project looked at cost-efficient ways to make the European economy more climate-friendly and less energy-consuming through the development of hydrogen technology. The goal was to improve access to and the use of the research infrastructure for hydrogen technologies in Slovenia and Austria with the establishment of the Hydrogen Center, a one-stop-shop for enterprises, researchers, and students by 2025. Furthermore, CUAS developed competences in hydrogen technologies with the development of demonstration models to be used as well as educational modules. The H2GreenTECH project was co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Interreg V-A Slovenia-Austria cooperation programme.

Ziel des Projektes war die Einrichtung eines Exzellenzzentrums zur Intensivierung der Forschungs- und Innovationsaktivitäten im Programmgebiet. In diesem Rahmen sollten Spitzentechnologien und therapeutische Konzepte zur Verbesserung der Behandlung von Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen entwickelt werden (unter denen ca. 30 % der europäischen Bevölkerung leiden und die gemäß der Eurostatdaten von 2015 ca. 40 % der Todesfälle in Italien und 45 % der Todesfälle in Österreich verursachen).
Die beteiligten Forschungseinrichtungen bündelten ihr Wissen und ihre Erfahrungen im Bereich Physiologie, Biologie, Herztransplantationschirurgie, biomedizinische Techniken und Bioinformatik, um Wirkstoffverbindungen zu entwickeln, die die Herzfunktion modulieren. Dabei stand die Rolle der mechanischen Kräfte bei der Steuerung der Eigenschaften der Herzzellen im Vordergrund. Die aus induzierten pluripotenten Stammzellen (iPSC) gewonnenen Kardiomyozyten wurden dafür eingesetzt, um die Anwendung bei Menschen in den vorbereitenden Phasen der pharmakologischen Forschung zu simulieren.

In einem ersten Schritt wurden die Ergebnisse der internationalen wissenschaftlichen Gemeinschaft in englischer Sprache zugänglich gemacht. CARE4TECH combines in an innovative way 2020 research agenda technology oriented principles & goals in the field of Smart Living technologies with quadruple helix multilevel policy oriented approach.

Smart living technologies are becoming the core topics for Alpine Space based leading technology providers but Alpine space weaknesses prevent the area to become a leading destination for excellence in this field. As identified in EUSALP, it is of crucial importance that available research capacity and innovation leaders are better bundled in the AS innovation landscape and R&I capacity and results are better transferred into practice. CARE4TECH transforms available but spread AS research into a stable EU leading knowledge development arena leading to better cooperation between all quadruple helix actors.

2. Alpine Space ALLIANCES - Thematic excellences grouped to cooperate
3. Alpine Space TASK FORCES and ALPINE CAMPUS- Supported by quadruple helix based teams to jointly learn and innovate through a living lab based learning system
4. Alpine space THINK THANK - Set up of a permanent policy and stakeholders platform linked to EU initiatives to fully exploit outputs and their technological strategic potential

Das Projekt COOP4HEALTHCARE forcierte im übergeordneten Projektziel eine Verbesserung des Dienstleistungsangebots im Gesundheitsbereich durch eine grenzüberschreitende Kooperation der relevanten Akteur*innen im Programmgebiet Slowenien–Österreich und mit strategischen europäischen Partnern. Dabei wurden regionale, nationale, internationale und langfristig orientierte Pilotprojekte im Bereich Digitalisierung, Wissensexzellenz und Kooperationsmodelle aktiviert und umgesetzt, damit aktuellen Herausforderungen integrierter Gesundheitslösungen entsprechend begegnet werden konnte. Durch die strategische Verankerung und die Entwicklung einer gemeinsamen Roadmap sollte langfristig eine ausgeglichene, qualitativ hochwertige Versorgung aller Bevölkerungsgruppen örtlich unabhängig und zeitgerecht ermöglicht werden. Im Sinne der nachhaltigen Verankerung und Weiterverfolgung der Projektziele wurde ein HEALTHCARE Think Tank etabliert, eine Gruppe aus Stakeholder*innen und Expert*innen, die Key-Challenges, Trends und Potenziale im Bereich der Gesundheitsversorgung diskutierten, neue Prozesse initiierten und als Ansprechpersonen agierten.

The overarching objective of the COOP4HEALTHCARE project was to improve the range of services in the healthcare sector through cross-border cooperation between the relevant stakeholders in the Slovenia-Austria programme area and with strategic European partners. Regional, national, international and long-term pilot projects in the areas of digitalisation, knowledge excellence and cooperation models were activated and implemented in order to meet the current challenges of integrated healthcare solutions. The strategic anchoring and development of a joint roadmap should enable balanced, high-quality care for all population groups in the long term, regardless of location.

A HEALTHCARE Think Tank, made up of stakeholders and experts, was established to ensure the sustainable anchoring and continuation of the project objectives. They discussed key challenges, trends and potentials in the field of healthcare, initiated new processes and acted as contact persons.

Kurzbeschreibung:

In ZentrAAL (ganzheitlicher und benutzerzentrierter Ansatz für AAL) wird ein erweiterbares Softwaresystem zur Unterstützung des selbstbestimmten Alterns über einen längeren Zeitraum getestet und evaluiert. Der breit (> 60 Haushalte) und lang (15 Monate) angelegte Feldtest erlaubt es, Aufschlüsse über die nachhaltige Akzeptanz einzelner AAL-Komponenten, deren Effektivität und Wirksamkeit zu gewinnen.

Abstract:

Sinkende Geburtenzahlen und steigende Lebenserwartung prägen die demografische Entwicklung in vielen Regionen Europas. Parallel dazu nehmen altersassoziierte Krankheiten zu. Dies führt zwangsläufig zu einem erhöhten Bedarf an Assistenz und Betreuung. In den letzten Jahren wurden eine Vielzahl von Technologien und Services für ältere und/oder pflegebedürftige Menschen entwickelt. Trotz des prognostizierten hohen Marktpotentials und des volkswirtschaftlichen Nutzens konnten die Potentiale am Markt bis dato jedoch nicht realisiert werden. Gründe dafür sind u.a. unzulängliche Alltagstauglichkeit, fehlende technische Kompatibilität, Nachrüstbarkeit oder eine geringe Marktreife.
Der Ansatz von ZentrAAL sieht daher vor, jüngere aktive SeniorInnen (60 – 75 Jahre) mit ersten Anzeichen eines Unterstützungs- und Sicherheitsbedarfs vom Nutzen der Technik zu überzeugen. So sollen sie durch qualifizierte Beratung und Betreuung langsam an unterstützende Technologien herangeführt und ihnen Berührungsängste genommen werden. Im Gegensatz zu bestehenden Lösungen wird ein ganzheitlicher, benutzerzentrierter – ZentrAALer – Ansatz verfolgt. Durch Zusammenführen unterschiedlicher, am Markt verfügbarer Lösungen und F&E Komponenten zu einem kostengünstigen, gebrauchstauglichen und erweiterbaren Softwaresystem wird sowohl die Unterstützung zu Hause als auch unterwegs gewährleistet. Darüber hinaus adressiert ZentrAAL neben dem städtischen Salzburger Zentralraum das ländliche Innergebirg. Zudem wird die Adaptierung bestehender Wohnungen gegenüber der Ausstattung von Neubauprojekten forciert. Für aussagekräftige Evaluierungsergebnisse wird das Softwaresystem ZentrAAL entlang der gesamten AAL-Wertschöpfungskette in einem breiten Feldtest (60 Haushalte) für 15 Monate erprobt. Die begleitende Evaluierung soll Aufschlüsse über Marktbarrieren und Markttauglichkeit des Softwaresystem ZentrAAL, die Effekte der Technologien für die NutzerInnen und deren Angehörige abbilden sowie Erkenntnisse für eine erfolgreiche Marktüberführung liefern.

ZentrAAL ist ein kooperatives Forschungsprojekt, und wird im Rahmen des FFG Programms benefit mit Mittel des Bundesministeriums für Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie co-finanziert.
