The Project Management Module is one of the main pillars of the fourth semester of the Intercultural Management BA program and aims at equipping students with project management skills and preparing them for future experiences in this field. Through collaborations with real organisations, this unique module offers students an opportunity to work with actual companies and gain practical insights into the professional world of project management.
In my case, I worked on a project named “Blitz Defence" with #virtualspacehero, a company specialising in virtual and hybrid work practices. Throughout the project, I not only expanded my knowledge about the subject of remote work immensely, but I also gained valuable insights into project management. Effective planning, organising, and controlling were essential for the successful completion of the project, as these skills are fundamental in achieving project goals, managing resources efficiently, and adapting to changing circumstances.
Overall, the project management module highlighted the importance of project management skills in the field of business. This experience provided a practical understanding of project management and emphasised its significance as a valuable skill set for business professionals, allowing them to lead and manage projects efficiently. The knowledge and experience gained through this module is undoubtedly a valuable asset for business students, equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate through managing complex projects in their future careers.
