CUAS School of Management and Biosphärenpark Nockberge working together towards youth engagement

In a collaborative effort, students and professors specializing in project management started a partnership with the Nockberger Biosphere Reserve team.

The international team met at the reserve's headquarters for a kickoff meeting, delving into discussions on project focus, reviewing objectives, and outlining the project's deliverables.

The primary objective of the project is to tackle the challenge of engaging youth in regional events held at the biosphere reserve, specifically through the establishment of a "Youth Forum" ("Jugendforum"). To achieve this aim, the project team will scrutinize past experiences related to youth engagement in the Biosphärenpark Nockberge ("Jugendforum"). Moreover, a team will look into global best practices for involving youth in biosphere reserves, focusing on successful models from renowned sites like Triglav National Park in Slovenia, Julian Alps biosphere reserve in Italy, and Yosemite National Park in California, USA etc. The collected information will be summarized as best practices and recommendations.

The project seeks to develop practical and actionable recommendations that will enhance the youth engagement within Biosphärenpark Nockberge.
International team of students: Irishichev Nikita, Ribo Ribo, Maierbrugger Benjamin.

The project is a part of BA business program "Project Management" Module, implemented for the BA in Intercultural Management (focusing on SDGs in Management), derived from the collaboration with »Science_Link Nockberge«.

We express our gratitude to Michael Jungmeier and Selina Strasser for inspiring us and fostering connections. Special thanks to Mr. Heinz Mayer for providing us with this exceptional opportunity to link CUAS project management research with Biosphärenpark Nockberge.
