CUAS Honors International Women’s Day 2026 with ACE2-EU

This March, we celebrate the women who drive innovation, collaboration, and change across our alliance and beyond.
This International Women’s Day, the ACE²-EU Alliance shines a spotlight on the brilliant women from diverse backgrounds who work shoulder to shoulder every day—creating solutions, breaking barriers, and inspiring the next generation of researchers, innovators, and leaders.

From early-career scientists to seasoned professors, from entrepreneurs to policymakers, and administrators the women of ACE²-EU are pioneering open science, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and turning bold ideas into real-world impact. Their work doesn’t just advance research and teaching: it transforms communities, bridges borders, and builds a more inclusive future.
To honor their contributions, we celebrate a day of appreciation, reflection, and action about women’s rights under the theme: "Give to Gain: Women Leading Change in Education"

Why We Celebrate

Women across the ACE²-EU Alliance are at the forefront of transforming research, education, and societal impact. Through their leadership and dedication, they are:

  • Creating new learning opportunities - designing inclusive, accessible, and innovative educational pathways.
  • Driving open science - advancing transparency, collaboration, and accessibility in research.
  • Mentoring the next generation - guiding and inspiring future leaders in society.
  • Creating policies - shaping frameworks that promote fairness, inclusivity, and progress.
  • Breaking barriers - challenging systemic inequities in funding, leadership, and recognition.
  • Leading societal change - through impactful initiatives in Culture & Diversity, Social Well-Being, Respect & Dignity, and Gender Equity among others.

Yet, despite their achievements, women still face systemic gaps in recognition, funding, and representation. Events like these remind us that equity isn’t just a goal - it’s a collective responsibility.
