In cooperation with the Medical University of Vienna and the University of Queensland, René Schranzer is working as a research associate in the Medical Engineering degree programme at the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) models in medical imaging. The first results of his work on the automated detection of multiple sclerosis (MS) centres of inflammation have now been awarded the Poster Award for the best work at the Austrian Congress 2020. The aim of the project is to use artificial intelligence to facilitate the detection of inflammation foci and thus contribute to a better understanding and characterisation of inflammation foci.
The participants in the Poster Award were given the opportunity to submit their scientific papers and projects to the Austrian Congress 2020 for Radiology Technology. The prizes for the best work in the respective category (master level) are endowed with 300 € each. We congratulate René Schranzer on the Poster Award 2020!
