skip_navigation - New Merchandising Guideline: CUAS is committed to using merchandising products that are manufactured within the EU whenever possible. In addition, materials have to be sustainable (no single-use plastics) and suppliers have to be certified (GOTS, PEFC, FSC, Fairtrade…)
- Biodegradable products are used for cleaning
- The new mensa (campus Villach) cooks with biological and regional ingredients (around 62 %). It mainly uses paper for packaging and returnable beakers for the sale of hot drinks.
- The so-called “Ackerbox“ in which you can shop regional groceries is located on campus Villach
- A recycling bin for Nespresso coffee capsules is provided on campus Villach; all the other campuses are avoiding waste by using coffee machines without capsules.
- Bookshelves for swapping books and journals are available on all campuses
- Waste is separated on all campuses (paper, plastics, general waste, glass)
- A digital flea market for students and employees has been implemented in the intranet
- It is planned to purchase more products with a high percentage of recycled content (printing and toilet paper)
- In the future, the focus will lie on digital instead of printed documents.
