Recently the  WU Gender and Diversity Conference 2023 took place in Vienna on the topic “Examining the influence of the socio-political context on diversity and inclusion in organizations”.

The annual conference- co-organized by the new SIETAR Austria board and WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) - is a gathering of experts and thought leaders from across the globe to discuss and explore the complexities and challenges of diversity and inclusion in today's world. The conference provides a platform for participants to share their experiences, insights, and ideas on how to build more diverse and inclusive communities, organizations, and societies.

This year main topics were diversity and inclusion in organizations, and the associated issues and opportunities in relation to the socio-political context in which their researched organizations and/or workers are situated.

The ICM core team (Eithne Knappitsch, Janet Brown and Sveta Buko) represented FH Kärnten and delivered a paper devoted to the sensitive topic of diversity barriers and drivers in the regional context of higher education.
