Graduates know how social insurance systems and transfer payment systems are financed and know about the differences in benefit entitlements. Graduates can independently assign, calculate and verify social rights claims from social problems. Graduates know administrative law procedures and know how and where to file an application and can, in the interests of their clients, appeal against decisions made. Through their knowledge of European social systems, graduates can identify and assign cross-border claims.

Completed bachelor's degree

A comparison is made between various European social law systems. Students become familiar with Austrian social law. They learn how unemployment, health, accident and retirement insurances work in their financing, benefits claim entitlement, and how these benefits are calculated. Students also learn how transfer payments such as attendance allowance, guaranteed minimum income, family allowance, childcare allowance and further allowances are calculated. Additionally, students receive an explanation and are able to practice how applications are made and appeals to assessments are claimed.
