On successful completion of the course, students:

  • Can talk about and understand more complex topics and texts related to their studies and fields of interest, including business news
  • Can use language more fluently and spontaneously enabling, interaction with native speakers, also in a work context on the telephone and in an interview
  • Can understand a wide range of texts, and recognize implicit meaning
  • Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on different subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices
  • Can write appropriately in professional contexts, including formal correspondence
  • Can correct most of their own language mistakes

  • Description of studies and study programs
  • The world of business
  • Business news
  • Job advertisements, applications and CVs
  • Writing e-mails
  • Telephoning
  • Intercultural and social communication; differences in business behaviour
  • Talking about professions and job experience
