Students know the different theoretical and practical approaches to health prevention and distinguish between interventions concepts such as "health promotion". They can classify health objectives using population data, and know the most important modifiable risk factors and their importance. Students are able to derive requirements in public health objectives from population-based data. They have gained the first impression of methods for prioritising health goals and understand the principle of cost-effectiveness. They have an in-depth knowledge of the effectiveness of coordinated action strategies with selected risk factors (e.g. alcohol, tobacco, obesity).
