After successful completion of the course, students:

  • Know the basic standards and norms in project management
  • Know selected traditional, agile and hybrid project management tools and can assign them to the respective practical areas of application
  • Know the basics and principles of MS Project and can set up simple projects in MS Project and MS Excel
  • Implement simple projects in selected project management tools (Assian, Wrike, Basecamp) in practice

In the course "Project management systems" the following topics/contents are covered:

  • Presentation/ overview of different PM software tools:
    • Project communication: e.g. Slack, MS Teams.
    • Project storage: e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive
    • Project time management: e.g. Toogle
    • Virtual coordination of project meetings: e.g. Doodle integration, Video meeting tool etc.
  • IT-supported use of project tools linked with practical examples
  • Reflection: application/use of electronic tools in individual projects
  • Outlook on MS Project;
