On successful completion of the course, students:
- Understand the basics of the Internet (history, technical structure, protocols, domains, etc.) and search engine or retrieval technology
- Are able to develop their own blog/website based on the CMS system Wordpress
- Design their own website prototype
- Can use digital media with software tools or cloud apps, understand the various aspects of media and media content, and communicate themselves in a variety of contexts
The course will cover the following topics/content:
- Internet technology (infrastructure, client-server technology, protocols, domain name system, weblinks)
- Blog/Website/E-Shop creation using Wordpress + Plugins as an example
- Enterprise 2.0/Social Media Enterprise or collaborative systems
