The object of Numerical Methods Basics is to introduce students to numerical and computational methods for numerically solving problems arising in science in engineering. Students carry out their works using Excel Formulas/Macros and MATLAB as a programming language and visualization tool.
At the end of this course, the student should be able to develop various numerical technique, analyze the results and report it.

Topics and Course Project includes:
Introduction of numerical methods
State of the Art and selected topics in the area on numerical methods
Root Finding Algorithms
Numerical Differentiation and Integration
Methods of solving Differential Equations
Interpolation and extrapolation
Optimization and Monte Carlo modeling
Application of Explicit and implicit time integration for dynamical systems
Basics of Image and voice processing
Evaluation and validation of results, Comparison with literature
Visualization techniques, basics of Project reporting and methods of presenting results
