Students are able to understand the key aspects of digitalization for the the entire life cycle approach in facility management. After an introduction to the current technological basis of modern Facility Management, students will be able to develop appropriate connections to sustainable concepts for real estate companies of different types. This concerns the use of new technologies such as augmented & virtual reality, artificial intelligence or predictive maintenance. In addition, the students understand the shift from B2B business models towards service orientation and apply this knowledge themselves using practical case studies. The students understand the contribution of specific technologies in building operation to achieve sustainability goals defined by ESG criteria, SDGs etc.
