Theory:
• Introduction and definition
o Manufacturing Process, Production Machinery, Machine Tools
• Requirements for Production Machinery
o Work accuracy, economy, flexibility, environmental compatibility, quantity performance, integration capability, security, repetition of the statistical treatment of measured variables
• Construction and assemblies of Production Machinery
o Fundamentals, frame, guides, main drive, feed drive, main spindle, interfaces for tools and clamping devices, clamping devices, position measuring systems, control technology, NC programming method
• Division of Production Machinery - Overview
• Selected Production Machinery by manufacturing process
o Forming, cutting, joining, laser ablation machines, rapid prototyping systems
• Single machines and multi-machine systems
o individual machines
o Rigid and flexible multi-machine systems
• Insertion devices and industrial robots
Practical Part:
• Create / modify a CAD model for the CAD-CAM interface
• Manufacturing of CNC workpieces using the CAD-CAM interface on selected CNC machines
• Practical determination of statistical parameters in manufacturing by means of measuring equipment and numerical and computer-algebraic evaluation
• Practical documentation of the production steps
