Students have a focus on a critical viewing and the improvement of the individual study- and job-relevant presentations' and argumentation competence (i.a. Bachelor project presentation). Students are acquainted with the fundamentals of scientific work, are trained in specific scientific skills and are able to improve their competences in the writing of their project works and final theses.

Presentation Techniques

Continuous study- and job-relevant rhetorical aspects of a presentation from the preparation to the exchange phase. Relevant phases of writing a (project) thesis from problem formulation to problem solving. Formulation of objectives and writing abstracts. Researching and quoting literature, collecting and surveying data. Advanced structural models, scientific classification and structure. Linguistic features of the presentation language and of scientific writing (excerpt, manuscript).Language and models of professional reasoning. Methods of scientific reasoning. Formal parts of a scientific thesis. Strategic questioning and discussion as well as handling objections.
