After successful completion of the course, students:

  • Conceptualize, plan, and implement projects with external project clients
  • Independently lead a project into implementation and to create adequate project documentation/project reporting
  • Understand the interrelationships of systems theory on the basis of their own project

In the course "Project management" the following topics/contents are covered:

  • Basics of project management (What is a project)
  • Project organization (roles in project management, organizational integration of the project organization into the overall organization)
  • Tasks of the project manager
  • Project management processes (phase model, V-model, waterfall model)
  • Planning process and planning tools
  • Project controlling (performance, schedule and cost controlling)
  • Project documentation/project reporting
