Students are enabled to develop a more conscious biographical and professional self-image against the backdrop of self-reflexive, personality development and group dynamic processes. They recognize their individual strengths with regard to the professional profile of Social Work and can classify where they have to work on themselves. Students learn about the possibilities of introspection, congruence, empathy and role distance in the interaction of understanding themselves and others within the group and realize the relevant limits. In outlines, they profile their professional identity and develop basic habitus elements of Social Work.

This is about a conscious involvement with the group, the reflexion of images of oneself and others, social and research-based learning, as well as the development of a (self-) reflexive competence and additional key competences, which are fundamental in Social Work. The educational choice and future professional role is reflected in the light of biographical aspects, as well as in connection with cultural and institutional parameters. In the process of this personality travel, different professional approaches (undergraduate degree in Social Work or other) are addressed and worked on in an interdisciplinary context.
