Students will have basic knowledge of programming and use of development environments, frameworks for Android mobile devices and smartphones.

Mobile device architectures 1

The course includes the following main topics:

  • Basics Body Area Networks
    • Bluetooth Low Energy
    • ANT+
  • Display Technologies
    • LED displays (OLED, Amoled, Retina)
    • Bistable displays (e-ink)
    • Touchscreen technologies
  • Communication controller (power demand, control)
    • IEEE 802.11g/n/ac
    • Bluetooth 4
    • 3G/4G
    • Antenna designs for mobile devices
  • Power supply for mobile devices
    • Energy storage (batteries, accumulators, electrolytic capacitors)
    • Energy sources
    • Energy management
