The OECM project ist concerning the implementation of the Horizon Europe RIA project “Bio-Capital” about Mobilising investments for protecting and restoring biodiversity by harnessing innovative financial solutions and advanced geospatial analytics.
Specifically, the UNESCO Chair is involved in a use case addressing the protection, restoration, adaptation, and sustainable use of alpine forests in Austria, and in supporting the identification of a potential OECM in Carinthia in line with the IUCN Guidelines.
