  • The IT-AT programme area boasts a high-quality scientific base – yet there is a mismatch between supply and demand in terms of innovation, as a culture of technology transfer (TT) is often lacking within the scientific community. To harness the full potential of R&I, cooperation models for TT must be expanded from the scientific community to society at large. Building on a biomedical ecosystem, PROMOS will adopt an approach to facilitate the transfer of research results to the market (WP2) and into clinical practice (WP3). To this end, PROMOS will foster cooperation between academia and industry and compare binational legal aspects to facilitate cross-border implementation and exchange best practices. A training programme (including microcredentials) and innovation camps (WP4) will help researchers translate their results into marketable solutions. A cross-border alliance comprising SMEs, clusters, universities, R&D institutes and R&I action groups will be established as a think tank. PROMOS will enhance the capacity to capitalise on and transform scientific results. The model could be transferred to other sectors/areas where there are no biomedical SMEs.
