So far, enrolling in the International Business Management Master’s program at CUAS has felt like the right choice to help me succeed in my career and reach my personal goals. At the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, you not only gain the up-to-date business knowledge required by many of today’s firms, but also learn how to position yourself effectively in a fast-moving business environment by developing the skills that will be necessary no matter what managerial role you pursue.

The study program offers the right balance between learning the theoretical/technical knowledge and personal skills. With classes about AI or Finance and Controlling in the first semester, I am learning what companies want me to know, but I am also acquiring the necessary business and entrepreneurship mindset, learning about leadership, how to negotiate or about the intercultural communication skills necessary for climbing up the career ladder or even starting my own company.

What I like is that each course is taught by different professors covering slightly different topics while keeping the goal of the whole course in mind. This ensures that we get the deepest and most insightful knowledge from the specialized professors in every topic. Most impressive is the competence of our professors in their respective field. Our professors work at renowned companies, hold impressive position or run their own company.

What is also important is that their knowledge is effectively transferred to us through a lot of hands-on practice on real world scenarios, such as conducting long business negotiations or creating pitch decks for startups, to name just a few examples. The courses are always up to date with the current state of the (business) world and challenge us both academically and socially. Excursions add to the insights you get into different businesses and makes learning much more exciting and interactive.

The composition of the classes perfectly embodies an international environment. In my year, we represent over 16 different nationalities from around the world. The small class size adds to the learning experience and makes the learning personal and memorable. The dynamic learning environment allows you to share your own experience but also learn from others, which will be more useful in your future than you think. To be able to build a close network with my classmates is also something that I will appreciate for a long time and already find highly beneficial.

I can recommend this Master’s program to anyone who is interested in business management and has an interest in international dynamics. It is also perfect for those seeking a seamless start into their professional career and who appreciate the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application.
