In a time defined by complexity, uncertainty, and constant change, effective leadership is more critical than ever. How can leaders today mobilize people and drive change when the challenges they face have no easy answers?

Join us for an exclusive Business Breakfast with Harvard Professor Farayi Chipungu, who brings powerful insights from the classroom, the boardroom, and the field. Drawing on her work at Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School, as well as her years at McKinsey, Farayi will introduce the core principles of adaptive leadership, a practical framework for leading through uncertainty and complexity.

This Business Breakfast Farayi explores:

  • The difference between technical and adaptive challenges
  • Why leadership is not the same as authority
  • How to build leadership capacity in yourself and others
  • How to navigate systems—and people—when stakes are high

Whether you’re an executive, entrepreneur, educator, or changemaker, you’ll walk away with actionable insights to lead with courage, clarity, and adaptability.

This event is a collaboration between TEDxKlagenfurt, the Harvard Club of Austria, and the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences.

Bio

Farayi Chipungu helps people do hard things—together. At Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School, she teaches leadership, change, and how to navigate messy, high-stakes moments when the path forward is anything but clear. She’s the kind of professor who gets leaders to ask better questions, take smarter risks, and stay in the work when things get uncomfortable.

Before landing in academia, Farayi cut her teeth in corporate law and then spent almost ten years at McKinsey, rolling up her sleeves with governments, businesses, and nonprofits tackling the kinds of challenges that don’t come with easy answers. She now brings that sharp edge wherevr it’s needed—in the classroom, boardroom, or in the field—partnering with Fortune 500 execs, players and change makers at every level.

She’s part researcher, part lawyer, part strategist, part coach—and all in on helping people lead with courage, clarity, and just enough chaos to disappoint people at a rate that they can tolerate.
