One Year of Digital Marketing & Sales – Learning, Team Spirit and Creative Projects
The Digital Marketing & Sales Bachelor’s program at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences has quickly established itself as one of the most popular study programs at the school of management. Already in its first year, the program welcomed 38 first-year students, reflecting strong interest in the field. In its second year, this number has grown to more than 50 new students, underlining the program’s continued appeal and relevance.
The first academic year was defined by teamwork, practical learning and diverse experiences, both inside and outside the classroom. Within just a few months, a new group of students developed into a motivated team that successfully carried out projects, events and competitions together.
A highlight of the year was the visit to the Mayor of Villach, where students gained valuable insights into local leadership and community engagement. Several companies also presented their work at the university, offering students the opportunity to explore career paths and connect with industry professionals.
Beyond their studies, creativity and collaboration played a key role: students organized events such as a Murder Mystery Night and a Christmas Party, developed the Between Classes podcast to promote student communication and participated successfully in the Coca-Cola Challenge. A visit to the Zotter Chocolate Factory and a video editing competition showcased their innovative spirit and teamwork. The year concluded with a joint trip to the Italian seaside. A well-deserved celebration of shared achievements and friendships formed along the way.
The Digital Marketing & Sales program exemplifies how practical learning, interdisciplinary collaboration and student initiative come together. Growth here happens not only in lectures, but also through experiences, connections and creative projects that shape future careers.
