Studying Intercultural Management at CUAS has been an incredibly enriching journey. As an Italian student, I quickly discovered, and appreciated, the dynamic hands-on approach of the program. Courses went beyond traditional management theory, integrating real-world projects, language studies, and collaborative learning. For example, my classmates and I completed an intensive three-week German course in Vienna, setting the tone for a curriculum that continually challenges you to learn by doing. Throughout the three years, we tackled a variety of projects, sometimes in partnership with other universities, sometimes for actual clients, both remote and on-site. This practical focus not only reinforced what we covered in lectures, but also gave me the flexibility to work part-time alongside my studies, directly applying emerging concepts in a professional setting.
What truly sets ICM apart is its multicultural community. Our cohort of about 25 students brought together perspectives from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, fostering an environment where intercultural communication wasn’t just a topic in class, but part of our daily life. Small-group collaborations gave us the chance to better understand each other’s similarities and differences, and my semester abroad in South Korea further broadened my global outlook. CUAS itself proved to be a welcoming, professional setting. Professors, coming from diverse national and academic backgrounds, actively supported students and their initiatives, from entrepreneurship workshops to research groups. The open-door environment meant we always felt heard and supported, whether seeking feedback on a project or exploring new opportunities. Villach, too, enriched my experience. Its blend of stunning alpine landscapes and a relaxed yet vibrant city life made it easy to balance study, work, and leisure. The town’s international community and local job market provided additional avenues for growth outside the classroom. In conclusion, the ICM program at CUAS has not only equipped me with solid academic and practical skills, but also unlocked doors in my career, most notably a Strategy Consulting internship in Milan, and paved the way for admission to leading European business schools. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone eager to experience an international, collaborative environment and to grow both professionally and personally.
