The students

  • deduce physiotherapeutically relevant information and possible contraindications for patients from the available assessment findings.
  • plan suitable physiotherapeutic measures and therapy plans based on the conducted physiotherapeutic diagnostic assessments.
  • perform the proposed measures on patients alone but under supervision, and adapt the measures to suit the individual patients.
  • correct the measures, where necessary, and document the procedure appropriately.
  • perform full physiotherapeutic processes independently in a range of different specialist areas on the patients under supervision.
  • discuss, analyse and reflect on their procedures in simulated (where appropriate interprofessional) team meetings.

The course deals with the following subjects/contents:

  • Hypothesis-based, physiotherapeutic diagnostic assessment
  • Selection of suitable therapeutic measures and assessments
  • Planning and creation of therapy plans
  • Performance and application of treatment measures as well as individual adaptation to suit the patients
  • Documentation of the set measures
  • Performance of the physiotherapeutic processes from different specialist areas on patients, under supervision (students receive support where appropriate)
  • Discussion, analysis and reflection on the procedure with other students and course lecturers
