The students know the different research designs and their significance (evidence hierarchy) and have a profound understanding of the research process. They are able to select suitable designs for their questions. Selected quantitative methods of data collection (questionnaire, interview, observation) are known, the students are able to select, construct and appropriate survey instruments . They are familiar with the basics of sampling theory. The capacity for critical reflection of the limitations of different designs and methods is available. The students are able to plan an empirical study meaningful.
