Students will be able to:
Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters encountered in work, school, leisure;
Use correct Italian in everyday situations and deal with most situations in the area when Italian is spoken;
Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest;
Describe experiences and events, give reason for opinions and plans.
Improved listening and reading comprehension will enable them to understand the main contents;
They have internalized the main language structures and are able to apply them.

Integration of all language skills.
The world of media (listening to dialogues and interviews; understanding simple newspapers articles).
Speaking and discussion skills, sharing opinions.
Business Italian (basic vocabulary of business).
Italy and its institutions.

The lessons, based on current principles of modern language teaching, are communicative, learner-oriented, task oriented and intercultural.

midterm exam: listening and reading comprehension (30%);
final exam: written and oral competence (40%)
