Students gain a basic understanding of agile digitalization and digital transformation in construction operations. First, they develop a basic feel for digitalized processes in order to be able to understand and evaluate the specific transformation in the construction industry. You will be able to interpret and apply basic terms and definitions with regard to digitalized processes, tools and instruments.
They are able to analyze and evaluate the ongoing change. Students will be able to confidently apply the accompanying regulations, technical standards and guidelines in the course of the digital transformation and for digital planning and construction. Agile digitalization is differentiated by the students in a construction project from the differentiated perspective between client and contractor. Students are familiar with the relevant regulations for defining the legal framework - from planning to the application of digital processes - and use them as a basis for conceptual developments, evaluations and analyses of agile digitalization.
Students are able to use software applications, among other things, to optimize the elementary processes in construction management with digital tools. They can integrate communication methods, promote the flow of knowledge and information, optimize workflows and positively influence the workflow in project management.
They are able to replace construction and construction-related processes with digital tools instead of conventional methods. By using digital tools with confidence, they are able to identify potential in terms of quality, construction and execution times and cost certainty.
The focus here is on planning, monitoring and managing logistics, construction process and scheduling, quantity and cost calculation and construction site documentation.
