The students
- can create the basic structure of HTML documents and important HTML tags and forms in practice.
- are able to use the basic syntax and selectors of CSS and apply the box model and responsive design in practice.
- are familiar with the basic syntax and structure of XML and can transform XML documents using XSLT.
- can apply the basic syntax, data types and control structures of JavaScript, including event handling and DOM manipulation.
- are able to implement basic server-side logic and thus create simple web applications with asynchronous data transfer between client and server.
- can develop a simple web application using the technologies they have learned and apply best practices and debugging techniques.
- Introduction to web technologies: Internet, WWW and HTTP(S)
- Logical text structuring and forms with HTML
- Website design with CSS
- JSON and XML for the structured transfer of data
- Programming client-side logic with JavaScript
- Server-side data processing
- Development of a simple web application in the form of project work
In the field of web programming, most of the specialist literature is available on the web itself (e.g. w3schools). Web content relevant to the module will only be announced at the beginning of the module to ensure that it is up to date
- Lecture on the presentation of theoretical content
- Partly multi-modal presentation of theoretical contents as Flipped Classroom and mutual discussion to extend on the gained knowledge
- Pracical exerscises through moderated group and individual work
