In June, two Program Directors from our School/Faculty of Management visited our Portuguese partner institution, the Polytechnic University of Santarém (IP Santarém). Dr. Alexander Sitter (Bachelor Business Management) and Dr. Martin Stromberger (Bachelor Digital Business Management & Master Digital Transformation Management) were warmly welcomed by Dr. Sérgio Cardoso, the Director of IP Santarém’s School of Management & Technology (ESGT). During their visit, they had the opportunity to meet and engage with several ESGT and other IP Santarém colleagues and tour the school’s facilities.

This visit took place as part of CUAS’ involvement in the ACE²-EU European University Alliance. Its purpose was to foster direct collaboration and explore opportunities for future joint initiatives, including co-created courses, short-term learning opportunities, and the potential creation of a joint degree. The two program directors were very impressed by the warmth of the partner institution. They really enjoyed their visit and emphazised that personal contact is essential for any future collaboration.

The ACE²-EU Alliance aims to strengthen ties between partner institutions and promote the co-creation of educational, research, and societal initiatives. Building meaningful interpersonal connections between staff from across the alliance is at the heart of these efforts, and visits like this one play a crucial role in achieving that goal.
