Students know scientific criteria, know about the design of a research process, hypotheses and research questions can create data collection can perform and are able to plan a (empirical) to carry out the study.

Criteria of science, scientific research process (problem definition, form a research question / hypothesis, objective, research methods, planning of a trial and execution, result formation and interpretation and discussion of research designs: experimental, quasi-experimental, plans such as cross-sectional, longitudinal section hierarchy of evidence and selection of suitable design sampling Selected methods for data collection: eg interview, observation ... selection of appropriate survey instruments including critical examination of the fit for my (empirical) investigation Selected qualitative evaluation methods, strengths and weaknesses of research designs and methods of planning a (empirical) investigation (exposé)
