The students understand and are able to employ the basic concepts of power electronic converters (DC-DC, DC-AC) and their applications.
They know how to design contemporary analog and digital driving and control circuits and concepts necessary to operate modern power semiconductors, such as MOSFETS and IGBTs at elevated switching frequencies with high efficiency while complying to safety and EMC regulations.
