In the framework of the VISIR+ project the second part of Training Actions activities took place. A continuation of TA2 which took part in autumn 2016, namely TA3, – Second Meeting with local partners was held from the 10th to the 12th of April, at PUC in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil.

Faculty from local partners CEFET - Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca, IME – Instituto Militar de Engenharia, UCP - Universidade Católica de Petrópolis and UERJ - Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro were among the participants. ABENGE was there too. The event was opened by Prof. Luiz Scavarda do Carmo, one of the Vice-Rectors of PUC-Rio.

We had 38 attendees - faculty, grad students and undergrads. Two alumni who own an ICT company attended, as well a National Instruments engineer.

Dr. Andreas Pester and Dr. Ramona Oros, from CUAS – Carinthia University of Applied Science, presented CUAS and Online and Pocket Labs expertise in the field of online labs and their use in European projects, CUAS approach concerning inclusion of VISIR in teaching and introduction to Pocket Labs and haw to use them in teaching purpose.

At the end of the TA3, a workshop on myDAQ for the students (held by NI) and a meeting of faculty of partner institutions to write an action plan for their use of VISIR took place.
