The academic training to become a nature conservation specialist is offered by the Institute of Civil Engineering at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with E.C.O. Institute of Ecology, a consulting and planning company for nature conservation in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The one-year training focuses on practical nature conservation issues that arise at construction sites, on infrastructure projects, and in the municipal sector. Participants include employees of construction companies, the energy, raw materials and transport industries, planning offices, nature conservation organisations, and public administration, particularly municipalities. Upon successful completion, trainees receive an academic certificate.

The conservation specialist course will start again on 23 February 2023, and registration is still open until 31 December 2022. More information: https://www.fh-kaernten.at/nsfk.
