Access to the campus

Let's take a step together to contain the pandemic.
The possibility of Covid tests offers us a framework to increase the security and flexibility of operations on campus.

Access to the campus is permitted if you:

  • have a negative PCR test or an antigen test or
  • have a notification of a past Covid-19 illness (within the last six months) in the form of a doctor's confirmation or a separation notice [Absonderungsbescheid].

In addition to the public test offer (registration via:, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences offers a rapid antigen test (lollipop test). This is also valid officially (e.g. for visiting the hairdresser).

  • Test evidence of a negative molecular biological test (PCR or LAMP) or antigen test in German or English with the following information:
    • first and last name of the tested person with date of birth;
    • date and time of sampling,
    • test result,
    • signature of the person carrying out the test and stamp of the institution carrying out the test OR Barcode OR QR code.
  • A negative rapid antigen test from a public test street from “Österreich testet”, pharmacies, laboratories, doctors, which is not older than 48 hours from the date of issue.
  • Negative PCR test on a public test street from “Österreich testet”, pharmacies and laboratories, doctors that is not older than 72 hours from the date of issue.

  • Unsupervised tests (self-tests, living room tests, gargle tests, etc.)
  • Negative antigen rapid tests of a company - if the tests are not supervised by appropriately qualified and authorized health personnel.
  • School or nose pick tests.

Couple of steps torwards a safe campus environment

  • Confirm registration: An e-mail will be sent to the specified e-mail address. Pay attention to the browser you are using (preferably Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox).
  • Confirm e-mail (note the spam folder) - you will then be redirected to the registration page.
  • Fill in the data
  • QR code is generated.

IMPORTANT: This QR code is generated only once and is valid for all the bookings. Take a screenshot or print out this QR code.

Please come to your test appointment on time.
Please always follow the instructions of the test personnel.

Observe the hygiene regulations on site:

  • Wear an FFP2 mask.
  • Pay attention to the floor markings and the maximum number of people at check-in.
  • Keep two meters distance to other people.

Please have your documents ready for check-in:

  • Appointment confirmation
  • QR code
  • Employees - employee ID card
  • Students - student ID
  • external persons - photo ID

If you do NOT have a QR code or you have NOT REGISTERED, go back to Step 1 - Registration.

Take the Test Kid to the designated test location.
When you have completed the test, bring it back to the Check In Point.

How do I use a lollipop test?

  • The test kit consists two packs. The spoon with cotton pad and the test kit.
  • Stick the QR code on the unpacked test kit.
  •  Move the lollipop test back and forth in the front of your mouth for 90 seconds. Use the swab to absorb liquid at various points.
  • If there is enough saliva in the test, a blue dot appears.
  • Take the lollipop and insert the end of the saliva swab with the sponge side down into the test card and press it down.
  • First insert the tip into the bulge,
  • then press down until it "clicks".
  • The bulge on the end of the swab must fit into the opening.

Bring the test back to the check-in point.

You will receive the result by email after approx. 10 minutes.

Please leave the building during the waiting time and use the waiting area provided on campus:

  • Campus Feldkirchen: inner courtyard at Teststrasse
  • Campus Klagenfurt Primoschgasse: in front of the campus
  • Campus Klagenfurt St. Veiter Straße: in front of the entrance to the “Teststraße”
  • Campus Spittal: inner courtyard (parking lot)
  • Campus Villach: old cafeteria on the back of the campus by the river side

 CUAS staff is permitted to bridge the waiting time in the office, provided that they are alone in the office.

Test result negative:

If the test result is negative, you will receive a confirmation of a negative test result. This is valid for 48 hours from the date of issue. This test is officially valid (e.g. for visits to the hairdresser).

Invalid test result:

For various reasons it can happen that a test cannot be clearly evaluated and is therefore invalid. In this case you will be asked to come back to the check-in and repeat the test. To do this, go back to step 3.

Test result positive:

If your test result is positive, you will be contacted immediately by the test personnel conducting the tests and informed about the next steps.
