"The main driving force for studying International Business Management at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences was the international environment of this master degree program – English as the language of instruction, the possibility to learn a new language, learning about other cultures, and above all studying and working together with people from all over the world. Skilled, enthusiastic teachers and small class sizes complete the offer and ensure a great learning atmosphere.

However, the lectures are only a part of the learning experience. In a real-life international project our team had the task to elaborate a comprehensive market entry strategy for the Russian market. In the course of this project we could apply all the knowledge and skills we gained during our studies, learning how the individual pieces connect to each other and seeing things from new perspectives. Additionally, we did not only meet very interesting persons, but also learned a lot about our team members and their cultural background, and most importantly also about ourselves.

I am now working as a Business Consultant at UNiQUARE Software Development GmbH. Technically speaking, this includes analysing software user interfaces and functioning yourself as an interface between technicians and professionals from financial institutes. Thus, being a business consultant also means a lot of communication with people from different nations. Exactly here I can use the language skills, intercultural competence and international experience gained during my studies. Getting this actually quite technical position immediately after my graduation made me realise that the professional opportunities after studying International Business Management are really huge.

I can recommend studying International Business Management at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences to all those who do not want to specialise into a certain field, but instead want to learn about the whole picture in an international, family-like atmosphere."
