“Management of Conservation Areas” - Start in September 2021

MCA

All that one needs to know about conservation areas, their preparation, planning and management is provided in this comprehensive international postgraduate master programme.

The aim of the programme is to promote biodiversity conservation and regional sustainable development in Europe and worldwide by educating and training (future) conservation area managers. In addition to the core team (Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and E.C.O.), around 30 internationally recognised experts will provide lectures and content. They represent the broad portfolio of different backgrounds, ranging from theoretical (science) to practical knowledge (park managers, consultants, international organisations). Innovative teaching and training formats support the development of relevant competencies. Interactive settings give way to peer-to-peer learning and allow for individual interaction with trainers and lecturers. An international advisory board supports the programme in terms of quality control and gives access to most recent research, technologies and trends. In addition, the programme will be supported by two further boards (scientific board, Austrian experience pool) and the alumni club.

The programme will start in September 2021 in a hybrid learning setting to enable all international students to participate successfully.
