The Grossglockner Mountain Run is one of the largest mountain running events in Austria and its growing popularity brings new challenges for management.

In this student project a prototype of a GIS application is presented. It should support the management by analyzing suitable spatial information and help the runners to design their training by providing route information.
Four students of the bachelor program "Geoinformation and Environment" successfully implemented the project: Yang Jiao, Josef Kainbacher, Paula Klück and Andreas Wallner.
