The training to become a nature conservation specialist engineer successfully began this spring 2021.

The students have completed half of the coursework so far, and lectures can already be given in-person. Our experts are covering many interesting topics, ranging from oversight of ecological construction projects to monitoring of fish and amphibian populations. The many excursions throughout Carinthia make the contents of the nature conservation engineer provide our students real-world, tangible experiences. A special highlight was the excursion to the "Gailtal Bear Bridge" and to the "Bat house" (see photos). This year’s 17 motivated students have already started working on their theses. The topics range from eco-islands and forest management to the creation of dice snake habitats. After the summer break, the second semester is set to begin in September.
