For employees of the ZPSR - Centres for Psychosocial Rehabilitation in Carinthia
The aim of this certificate course is to provide participants with basic psychosocial and psychiatric knowledge for their professional activities. The participants acquire knowledge about psychiatric clinical pictures including treatment options and psychopharmacology. They get to know approaches of psychiatric care as well as special competences for communication with challenging clients or in challenging situations (crisis intervention, de-escalation management, etc.). Social psychiatric methods for the daily work with clients, such as empowerment, participation, inclusion and motivational work are dedicated to a separate module in the course. In addition, space will be created for sensitising staff and for reflective processes.
This certificate course is a further training course for employees of the Centres for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Carinthia of all social and nursing professions of origin.The Centres for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (ZPSR) take over the essential part of long-term accommodation of people with mental illness in Carinthia.
