• CUAS offers various support for entrepreneurs. The so-called „Gründergarage“ and its network of professionals help people to become self-employed by providing services such as personal coaching and constructive feedback. The “Gründergarage” also connects founders with experts in- and outside of Carinthia.
  •  The “smart lab Carinthia” functions as a high-tech prototyping laboratory for technical projects. It is equipped with several machines such as 3D printers and scanners, a laser cutter, a cutting plotter and a CNC mill. Moreover, it provides construction software to better realize one’s ideas.

  • The Digital Lab of the School of Management functions as a virtual laboratory for the digital transformation. Key topics are the digitalization of processes, the development of digital strategies and business models, data science, internet technologies, e-government and e-commerce. In addition, the Digital Lab forms a network of experts in the areas of business, public management and further education.
  •  The project SIAA (Social Impact for the Alps Adriatic Region) focuses on social innovation. Together with public administration offices, institutions and social entrepreneurs, solutions for the challenges of the Alps-Adriatic region are developed. The aim of the project is to first evaluate the status quo and then introduce measures that foster the foundation of social businesses.  
  • The project ASIS (Alpine Social Innovation Strategy) aims to create a new vision of social innovation in the five participating countries Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and France. New tools and methods as well as an innovative platform and strategic guidelines for public stakeholders are created in order to master current economic and social challenges.
  • The research group ADMiRE deals with the development of 3D printing technologies. It focuses on carbon-neutral manufacturing – a goal that the European Union wants to achieve by 2050. ADMiRE reduces climate-damaging emissions by applying the cradle-to-cradle method and using biodegradable materials. Moreover, robotics and AI help to make the production economically feasible.
  • The research center CISMAT (Carinthia Institute for Smart Materials) at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences offers further education in the field of smart materials for companies.
