Fundamentals of sensor technology for dynamic and vibrating systems. Understanding of the systems theory of measurement and of control tasks in swinging and dynamic systems.

Dynamics of sensors, eg temperature sensors,
- Force sensors
- Dynamic displacement measurement
- Non-contact displacement measurement
- acoustic sensors
By using physical models the dynamic behavior of sensors shall e adjusted and simulated;
Usage of SimuLink in combination with demonstrators.
Processing of analog sensor signals:
- Properties and types of analog preamplifiers such as gain, dynamics, bandwidth, frequency response, static and dynamic input resistance, galvanic separation, differential and unbalanced inputs, dynamic output impedance, analog multiplexer, adaptation to analog-to-digital converter.
- Small signal processing: signals with low signal-to-noise ratio shield and ground concepts.
Input filters such as: characteristics of different filter types, design of anti-aliasing filter, evaluation of digital sensor signals:
- encoder, absolute and incremental position encoder
