Upon the successful completion of Russian 3, students can:
- talk about daily routines
- describe themselves and colleagues
- make meeting arrangements
- make enquires at the railway station and airport
- order in a restaurant
- make taxi reservations by telephone
- give details ideal holiday destinations
- write letters and messages
- understand written and audio messages
- take notes
Positive completion of Russian 2
This course builds on the language topics covered in Russian 2. Therefore the following areas will be covered: - phonetics - intonation - noun - adjective - personal and possessive pronouns: all cases of nouns, adjectives and - pronouns in plural - verbs of motion without and with prefixes - verbal aspect in future and past tense, past tense - verbs with the suffix -???- - reflexive verbs - double negation - relative clauses Course participants will talk about the following topics: - daily routine - personal description and describing others - ideal holiday destinations - leisure activities In addition, students will also conduct conversations in the following situations: - taxi reservations over the telephone - travelling: railway station and airport - hotel and reception desk - restaurant, snack bar - exchange office - meeting arrangements
