By the end of this course on international trade students will be able to :
state facts about trade and globalization;
explain theories of international trade;
examine the consequences of different trade policies;
analyze controversies in trade policy.
Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics
The course will give a selected introduction to the special issues of theory and policy of international economics. In particular, the fields of (1) international trade theory as an economic justification for cross-border business activities, (2) international trade policy and its instruments, as well as (3) selected aspects of exchange rates and open-economy macroeconomics will be under consideration.
