The students gain an overview of the different methods of aesthetic and artistic creation and can apply single methods in the fields of actionin the DDS. The methods have a preventive, compensatory and assisting component and so they are an essential element of inclusive educational work.

They understand the meaning of aesthetics and creativity as a medium of identity formation and communication, especially for people with special needs, specific life troubles or social disadvantages. These methods are known and tested as a possibility to develop an access to hardly accessible clientele groups (persons with dementia, mental illness, addiction problems or migrants). They can use these methods especially for specific target groups and in reference to life age and they arealso able to connect these aesthetic methods with the gained methods of inclusive and affected-controlled research in course 5 (qualitative methods and designs).

In this lecture divergent artistic designing methods are introduced and tested in several target groups and social problem constellations of DDS (e. g. artistic forms, music, dance, theatre, photography, new media). The value of these methods in the context of an inclusive educational work and the support of multidimensional development is given. The methods of inclusive and self-affected and controlled research from the lecture "qualitative designs and methods" are integrated and implemented into this lecture in the course of project work in the various fields of practice in DDS.
