The students have knowledge of the:

- evaluation of RFID technologies,

- planning and operating of RFID applications,

- recognition of the advantages and problems of RFID technologies and their applications, like supply chain management, access systems, ticketing, warehousing.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is continously growing and penetrates many areas of our life. From the digital identity card, money notes and intelligent price labels to hidden identification tags inside shoes and clothes, the consuments are always in contact with this invisible medium. This lecture should help to learn about some basis of the technical properties and possible applications using the RFID-techniques, but also dangers if they are misused. The lecture is added by a lot of practical experiments.
