After the successful completion of this course, the students are able to design medical engineering systems in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines and to document this system development utilizing the accompanying project management. The acquired knowledge in HW development and SW design are implemented in an example project.

Medical Signal Processing, Medical Electronics, Medical Devices, Programming, Project Management

Project creation process: creation of a project plan with milestone lists, target / actual comparison;
Project-accompanying quality features: FMEA, QFD, target costing, reliability calculation;
SW design: creation and expansion of a SW program when using a µController for data acquisition;
CAD / CAM: design of a circuit board using a CAD program with regard to different material and manufacturing technologies and TEM wave propagation;
Visit the in-house accredited EMC laboratory
